'Severe' Traffic Collision Shuts Down US-101 Commute

SONOMA COUNTY, CA — A severe traffic alert is in effect for southbound US-101.

A traffic collision with injuries is blocking lanes south of Baker Avenue in Santa Rosa.

The left and center lanes are closed, according to CalTrans. Motorists are advised to expect delays and to use alternate routes to avoid the area. CalTrans reported the accident at 7:05 a.m. and said there is no estimated time to reopen the roadway.
