HEALDSBURG, CA — Traffic signs appeared across downtown Healdsburg Wednesday as city crews rolled out parking restrictions ahead of the annual Healdsburg Wine & Food Experience, a multi-day festival expected to draw thousands of visitors into Sonoma County wine country.
Temporary parking notices are posted in city lots and along downtown streets beginning today. Vehicles parked in restricted areas risk citations as crews prepare streets and public spaces for festival operations and heavy pedestrian traffic.
Set against the vineyards and riverfront landscape surrounding Healdsburg, the festival promotes Sonoma County’s farmers, growers, chefs and winemakers while pairing them with internationally recognized wines and culinary talent from around the world.
Organizers describe the event as a celebration of the people behind the region’s food economy — from vineyard workers and producers to restaurant owners and artisans — while spotlighting sustainable agriculture and Sonoma County’s deep ties to farming.
Downtown restaurants, tasting rooms, galleries and specialty shops are expected to see a surge in foot traffic throughout the weekend as visitors pour into the city center for tastings, demonstrations and special events.
