Mill District Map Clears Final Healdsburg Council Approval

HEALDSBURG, CA — The Healdsburg City Council approved the final subdivision map Monday for a mixed-use development in the Mill District that includes a 53-room hotel, retail space, and hotel investment units, advancing a project that will further reshape the south side of downtown Healdsburg.

The action on Monday — just weeks after a luxury penthouse at the nearby Canopy at Mill District reportedly sold for $7.8 million — finalizes the subdivision at 180 and 182 Sawmill Circle.

One parcel will contain a 53-room hotel, including 12 hotel suites that will be sold as individual "investment" units while remaining part of the hotel.

Another parcel is reserved for retail space at the corner of Healdsburg Avenue and Sawmill Circle.

City staff said the developer submitted all required subdivision documents, including covenants, conditions, and restrictions, project agreements, an emergency vehicle access easement, and a condominium plan.

The council approved the item as part of its consent calendar, which requires no discussion or public testimony.

However, although the vote was procedural, recording the final map establishes the legal parcels needed for the project's ownership structure and moves the Mill District development another step closer to construction.
