HEALDSBURG, CA — Healdsburg Unified students return Thursday with a minimum day across district campuses as families trade summer schedules for school routines.
Before the opening bell rings, third-grade families will get an early introduction Tuesday during Third Grade Welcome Night from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Fitch Mountain Campus.
The first day also brings Picture Day at Healdsburg High School.
Parents interested in districtwide decisions won't have to wait long for the trustees' next regular meeting.
The Healdsburg Unified School District Board of Trustees meets Aug. 19 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Healdsburg City Hall. The district maintains its 2026-27 board agendas and meeting materials online.
Elementary families also have Back-to-School Night approaching Aug. 25.
Healdsburg does not have the same concentration of big-box school-supply retailers found in Santa Rosa or Rohnert Park.
Families making a larger supply run can compare prices before driving south; Target's current back-to-school promotion includes select notebooks for 35 cents, composition books for 39 cents, folders and glue for 50 cents, and select Crayola products for 99 cents through Sept. 19.
