HEALDSBURG, CA — Friday lunch now comes to the table on wheels at a double-starred hotel in Healdsburg, with guests deciding what lands in the glass.
The boutique Madrona hotel and restaurant recently launched a Friday Lunch Martini Cart at 1001 Westside Road in Healdsburg.
That means the Madrona will begin rolling martinis to lunch tables, where guests choose the spirit, tincture, and garnish, and the roaming cart turns those selections into custom table-side cocktails.
The cart operates during Friday lunch service from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Guests can select premium local spirits, estate-inspired tinctures, and garnishes that include blue cheese-stuffed olives, cocktail onions for a Gibson, and Madrona-branded citrus twists, according to an announcement.
The cart is stocked with Northern California producers, including Humboldt Distillery, Sipsong Spirits, St. George Spirits, and Rockwell Vermouth.
The Madrona began as a gabled private residence perched at the top of a road in 1881 during the Aesthetic Movement.
The two Michelin Key starred hotel is now designed to revive the leisure lunch while reflecting the era's opulence.
The martini cart accompanies a menu designed by Executive Chef Patrick Tafoya served in intimate indoor dining rooms and on a heated, covered terrace overlooking the gardens, according to the hotel.
The Madrona sits about a mile from downtown Healdsburg just past the beginning of Dry Creek Road, welcoming local residents, visitors, and hotel guests.
