HEALDSBURG, CA — During Healdsburg's biggest powerlifting events of the year, on Saturday, some of the Golden State's strongest men and women lifters will hit the platform.
Everyone else can come for the lifting and stay for the pump at the USPA Mega State Powerlifting Championships on site at the World Gym Healdsburg beginning 8 a.m.
Big weights, bigger cheers, no spotter required, as Arnold (who started his career as a powerlifter) would say.
A southern California event will be held at Hidden Strength Gym in Irwindale.
Winning competitors qualify for the 2027 Ultra Nationals in Florida.
Spectator admission costs $20 and includes full gym access for the day. Current World Gym members do not need to pay a spectator fee.
Youth younger than 12 may attend free with a paying adult.
