• Hounds overpower Titans to break losing streak (healdsburgtribune.com) — Healdsburg High's Greyhounds finally snapped an 18-game losing streak at Rec Park, pounding Skyline of Oakland 45–26 behind a massive 429-yard rushing night from Luis Valencia and Frank Rea. With the community roaring, key interceptions from Elyah Neisingh sealed the win and gave the Hounds momentum as they head to Concord on Sept. 18 to face Ygnacio Valley.

• SMART reconsiders spot for Healdsburg station (pressdemocrat.com) — SMART is reconsidering whether Healdsburg's long-awaited rail station should be downtown on Vine Street or at the old Hudson Street depot, and is launching new outreach, including a survey and a City Council presentation Monday. With funding secured for the $269 million extension and construction starting next spring, officials want robust local input on parking, traffic, bike and pedestrian safety, and how each site would serve workers, visitors, and nearby businesses.
