The volume, once pulled from a California dumpster, is now digitized by the National Archives, offering detailed, firsthand entries from the attack and months that followed.
4. Federal government moves to seize suspected cartel leader's Hemet ranch (ocregister.com) — Federal prosecutors are seeking to seize a Hemet ranch on Three Springs Road that they say is tied to an alleged leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco says the property is just one of many cartel-linked holdings across Hemet and nearby communities, while criticizing state sanctuary laws as limiting local investigations.
