This year star testing is going to be way more advanced and technological. Schools all around the country will be using laptops, chromebooks, etc. According to huffingtonpost.com “scince this is the first year the scores won’t be counted” which for me is a big relief.

Star testing or CST, which stands for California Standardized testing, is all new this year and we will be the ones to test it. Almost all of the tests are electronic, but a few like, 8th grade science, will still be written. I personally think language arts will be torture having to type so much stuff but I don't know ;it might not be that bad. According to washingtonpost.com “schools that have started have reported there being glitches and computer problems.”
The state has very strict restrictions for during and before testing; for instance if your school has an Ipad cart or laptop cart you can't use it during a certain period of time. And during the test you have to make sure that all servers or windows are closed or the test won't start. Some of the different features or tools that will be on the test are notepad , calculator, (which will only be available for certain questions on the test) highlighter, and dictionary. I think these will be very helpful and the new testing will be a new, interesting experience.
