What’s Your Favorite Story Genre?

On April 21, I surveyed my 6th grade journalism class at Hermosa Valley School to find out their favorite story genre. The choices were fantasy/sci-fi, realistic fiction, non-fiction, and historical fiction. The most popular choice was over half the total votes at a staggering thirteen, which was fantasy/sci-fi. There was a tie for the least popular choices, which were non-fiction and historical fiction, which both had two votes. The high spike with fantasy/sci-fi was not very surprising because of the very popular Divergent series.
