(hermosareview.com) — Hermosa Beach's Parks & Rec Commission has created a new Aquatics Access Subcommittee to study how residents might finally get better pool access, without yet committing to building a city-owned facility. The group will survey demand, map regional pools, and explore partnerships while the city wrestles with tight finances, scarce land, and decades of unmet public interest in a community pool.
   

• Hermosa Beach to host remembrance on Sept. 11 at newly renovated memorial (dailybreeze.com) — Hermosa Beach is hosting its annual 9/11 Remembrance Wreath Laying Ceremony on Friday, Sept. 11, at 7:30 a.m. at the newly renovated 9/11 Memorial at the greenbelt and Pier Avenue. City officials, police, fire representatives, Scouts, and retired service members will participate, with wreaths and flowers available so residents can personally honor victims and first responders.
