The Spectacular Guitar

            My favorite part of the day is getting home to play my guitar. It’s such a fantastic instrument to play. I absolutely love the guitar. I got my first guitar when I was around five and I would always run around the house strumming the guitar, even though it sounded terrible. But, I didn’t know any better-- I was only five. I didn’t learn chords until I was eight, and that’s where the addiction really began. When I first actually started playing chords, it was very difficult; my fingers would get so sore I could barely write at school! But looking back now, I’m glad that the pain didn’t stop me. Now I have two guitars and I play them everyday. Guitar is one of my daily routines, I can’t live without it. No matter what mood I’m in, playing just two chords brightens my day. My parents are very thrilled that I enjoy playing guitar too. And I even listen to music differently.

The best part about this whole journey of learning how to play is that it helps me with my biggest dream in life; becoming a professional singer. I’ve always wanted to sing but, what makes me think that I could have a big break? A lot of people want what I want, so I need to stand out if I ever got the chance to get a record deal. I started to practice singing songs that I wrote and then I had an idea. Why don’t I add chords to my songs? That’s a way I can stand out and improve my guitar skills. So, I tried putting chords to my songs and, it was very easy. I eventually put chords to all my songs, and I really like how they sound!

I have such a wonderful time singing and playing the guitar.
