City Council to Decide Sidewalk Dining
A measure that will allow restaurants to set up sidewalk dining without a special permit is on the agenda for tonight's meeting.

The Hermosa Beach City Council will gather tonight for its regular meeting at 7 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 1315 Valley Drive.
The agenda features the public hearings on two items, both of which are amendments to existing ordinances. The first will allow restaurants in certain commercial districts to set up sidewalk dining without requiring the business to get a conditional use permit first, but will retain much of the current regulation regarding sidewalk signs.
The second item amends current zoning ordinances for consistency and to allow an affordable housing overlay - or an area pre-approved for affordable housing projects.
