Mira Costa Mustangs Commit to Colleges

Like most good schools, Mira Costa High School prefers to emphasize the "student" in the term "student-athlete."

So here, courtesy of Mira Costa Athletic Director Paula Spence, is a small list of Mustang student-athletes whose play on the field and work in the classroom have earned them the opportunity to play their sport at the college level next year.

With a talented group of players in a number of different sports, there are many other Mustang student-athletes being scouted. So consider this an ever-growing list that will be updated periodically as new college choices are made.

• Jonelle Conceicao, softball: Dartmouth (scholarship)
• Alyssa Anderson, volleyball: Villanova (scholarship)
• Sheridan Taylor, volleyball: Rutgers (scholarship)
