A round up of the week's crimes in Hermosa Beach

The following is a round up of crimes in Hermosa Beach, based on reports from the Hermosa Beach Neighborhood Watch and Crimereports.com.

April 4: Car Burglary, 500 block of Pacific Coast Highway. The car's window was smashed and a purse and cellphone were taken.

April 5: Car Burglary, 400 block of Moneterey Boulevard. A convertible's top was cut open and a briefcase and laptop stolen.

April 5: Theft, 500 block of Pier Avenue. A suspect used the victim's debit card to make purchases without being authorized.

April 5: Theft, 700 block of Fourth Street. An unlocked bicycle was taken from an open garage.

April 6: Car burglary, 1300 block of Hermosa Avenue. A lock was punched to gain entry to a Cadillac Escalade. The suspect then stole the third row seat.

April 7: Auto theft, 1000 block of The Strand. A 2010 white Hummer was stolen from a parking, thanks to a spare set of keys in the glove compartment. Onstar service reported the vehicle heading northbound on I-5 near Bakersfield, and the CHP was notified.

April 7: Assault, 1000 block of Hermosa Avenue. Suspect punched the victim in the face with a closed fist.

April 8: Assault, 1300 block of Hermosa Avenue. There was a fight involving several people. One male subject was hit over the head with a beer bottle, causing a 6-inch laceration. Subject was taken to Little Company of Mary hospital.

April 8: Theft, 100 block of 34th Street. A gray Raleigh bicyle with Hawaiian print was stolen when the lock was cut off.

April 8: Breaking and entering, 600 block of The Strand. An air compressor was stolen when the chain to a garage was cut to gain access.

April 9: Breaking and entering, 1600 block of Pacific Coast Highway. Suspect attempts to steal a car by punching the door lock and the ignition lock, but was unsuccessful

April 10: Theft, 700 Pier Avenue. Items were shoplifted from CVS pharmacy.
