Disaster Services - Shelter Training

In partnership with the American Red Cross, Hermosa Beach CERT Residents is offering a basic level Disaster Services course to prepare community volunteers to manage shelter operations. In the event of a disaster, the shelter will be set up in the community to meet the needs of people displaced. 

The training is scheduled as one day (8-hour day) training (lunch break included).

Residents from any city may attend. After the completion of the course, they qualify to volunteer at any Red Cross Shelter.

I. Email Corinne Ybarra, sunraecorinne@yahoo.com, with name, address, phone number, t-shirt size, and email address (This is needed to secure your place in the class) 
2. Apply for the free background check at American Red Cross (This must be completed before you can be certified) Go to http://www.MyBackgroundCheck.com
