Prescription drug abuse is the intentional use of a medication, in a way other than as prescribed or for the experience or feeling it causes. While prescription drugs can be powerful allies, they also pose serious health risks if abused. In this lecture, targeted toward healthcare professionals, learn about the growing crisis of misuse of prescription drugs, identify the prescription drug and lethal combination that lead to disastrous results and understand the basic neurobiology of addiction which accounts for the high rate of relapse. Participants will earn 2.5 CMEs/CEUs certificates. Continental breakfast will be served at this event.
