Faculty Dancers Showcase Their Talents in the Night of Resident Artists

Four El Camino College Faculty Present Selected Offerings in This First-of-its-Kind Concert.

El Camino College’s Center for the Arts will host the Night of Resident Artists at 8:00 p.m. April 18 in the Marsee Auditorium.

The talent of faculty members Hiroshi Hamanishi, Jaime Hammond (Pony Box Dance Theatre), Michelle Funderburk and Jennifer LaCuran is usually seen through their dancers who grace the stage in many El Camino College dance productions, but for one night only some of the faculty takes center stage in displaying their own artistic innovations.

El Camino College dance professor Daniel Berney will be the Master of Ceremonies for the performance and transition audiences through what is sure to be a night to remember.

Guest dancers will also join forces with faculty performers to bring choreography to life on stage.

Faculty will illustrate creativity in all styles through impactful pieces like Guitar and Taps, Thouroughfare, Rise, Edge and many more.

Tickets to the Night of Resident Artists are $15 and may be purchased at www.centerforthearts.org, by phone at 310-329-5345 or toll-free at 800-832-ARTS. The Ticket Office is open Monday-Friday 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Campus Parking is $3. The Marsee Auditorium is located at 16007 Crenshaw Boulevard, Torrance.
