Game On! Hermosa Beach Launches Live Entertainment Permit Program
The new permits would allow businesses to offer games, acoustic music, open mic nights and other similar entertainment.

HERMOSA BEACH, CA – The City of Hermosa Beach is launching its Limited Live Entertainment Permit Program with an invitation to local businesses to submit applications to offer "low-impact entertainment" to customers during off-peak hours, the press release said.
"The Community Development Department is administering a two-year pilot program for the new permits, which allow local businesses to offer games, acoustic music, open mic nights and other similar entertainment without having to go through the existing Conditional Use Process, which is used for more extensive and more frequent live entertainment," the City of Hermosa Beach said.
The permit program was developed in collaboration with community group, THRIVE Hermosa. The new permit costs $250 and covers the two-year period of the pilot program, and the entertainment may be offered during normal business hours between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. It must be indoors and be an additional activity or “accessory use” for the business, the press release said.
