Many people start playing another instrument and then take guitar, but either way, playing the guitar is a useful talent to have around. Playing the guitar allows one to play other instruments. On the ukulele, many of the chords used on the guitar are the same on the ukulele. The rhythm in strumming allows rhythm on the drums for some people. One could tranfer over to electric guitar, which feels, looks, and sounds completely different. Guitars are only the beginning of all of the wonderful instruments in the world! Forming chords and strumming at the same time develops coordination that can be used for things other than the guitar. Before long, some people will be able to form the chords without looking. After learning to play, some people can do things that invole coordination better than before they learned to play. Memorizing pieces of music, chords, or things that need to be memorized will be eaiser. The guitar isn’t only a musical instrument, it is a tool for success! Picking forms different sounds and allows one to play different kinds of music. It create a more individual tone. Piano pieces can be played usind the technique of picking. While picking, the sound made by the string lasts longer. Also, one can bend the string by pushing the string up, they can do a hammer-on by picking a string and putting their finger on a different fret, or they can side their finger down to change the sound. Many different sounds can be made by the guitar. Playing the guitar develps coordination, it can make lots of sounds, and can inable people to play different instruments. Playing the guitar is a great skill to have!
