The Hermosa Beach MOMS Club Donates School Supplies to Hermosa View Elementary

The Hermosa Beach MOMS Club completes several service projects for the Hermosa Beach community each year and the Back to School Drive has always been a favorite one for the club. We approached Principal Gluck and asked if the school had any wishlists for the new school year we could help fulfill. She explained that now that California has changed the law and cannot require that families buy their own school supplies, they run into the problem of some families struggling to obtain the materials needed to start the new year, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

The HB MOMS Club VP of Charity, Layne Fischer, obtained all the grades’ wishlists and organized a list of materials needed. MOMS Club members generously donated time and money to support the service project.

Principal Gluck and the staff at the school were so grateful for the contribution and all our continued support! The Club was able to collect all of, or at least a portion of every item on the School’s wishlist, this included markers, pencils, glue, watercolors, paper goods, yoga mats, erasers and scissors!

The Hermosa Beach MOMS Club came together to make this happen for Hermosa View Elementary once again this year. We are looking forward to our next Service Project in November, 12 Days of Giving, where we donate food baskets to thank the service men and women who keep the Hermosa Beach community safe and protected each day and night.
