Kaiser Permanente Begins Construction on Manhattan Beach Medical Offices
The new Kaiser Permanente Manhattan Beach Medical Offices will open in November 2015, bringing health care services to the Beach Cities.
Kaiser Permanente began construction this month on its newest facility to serve patients in the South Bay, located at 400 S. Sepulveda Boulevard in Manhattan Beach. When it opens in November, the medical offices will offer adult primary care, pediatrics, obstetrics-gynecology, a nurse clinic, x-ray, pharmacy and video appointments. Additional services, including general surgery, podiatry, orthopedics, dermatology and allergy, will be added next year.
“Our goal is always to make accessing care as convenient as possible,” said Lesley Wille, RN and executive director of the Kaiser Permanente South Bay Medical Center. “As our membership in the community continues to grow, this new medical office building will allow us to better serve patients and employers who call the Beach Cities home.”
The 9,000-square-foot facility incorporates advanced features, such as doctor consults by video, which will enable patients to more easily access care when and where they want it. Kaiser Permanente is nationally-recognized for the use of innovative health care technology, including a user-friendly website and mobile app that allows members to securely email their doctor, check lab results, schedule appointments or refill prescriptions from the comfort of their computer or smartphone. In addition, educational programming will be available to help patients manage their health.

“With the Manhattan Beach Medical Offices, we have re-imagined the health care experience. Patients will enjoy a spa-like feel with amenities and modern technology to improve their health and wellness,” said Wille. “Our goal is to create a welcoming space that encourages members to proactively engage with the resources available to live their healthiest life. That could mean stopping in for a flu shot, or taking a health education class.”
The Manhattan Beach Medical Offices will join seven other Kaiser Permanente facilities serving the South Bay, including the nearby Torrance and Gardena Medical Offices. Kaiser Permanente South Bay provides care to more than 220,000 members in the South Bay, including more than 12,000 members residing in the Beach Cities.
