Lazy Acres Natural Market To Open South Bay Location

The new store will be located where Artesia Boulevard connects Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach.​

HERMOSA BEACH, CA – Lazy Acres Natural Market announced Monday that it will open a new store in Hermosa Beach in October. This will be the second Los Angeles-area Lazy Acres store and fifth in Southern California, according to the Lazy Acres press release. The new store will be located at 2510 Pacific Coast Highway, where Artesia Boulevard connects Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach.

It will feature an array of natural and organic grocery items, including a broad selection that appeals to alternative diets, the press release said. Specialty departments include bakery, meat/poultry and seafood, cheese, deli, prepared foods, floral and natural living. Bakery and prepared foods are made daily in the store kitchen.

“Our growth is thoughtful and strategic, with a focus on communities that embrace family and healthy lifestyles, like Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach,” Lazy Acres CEO Matt Turnbull said. “We have invested five years into finding the perfect location and designing the ideal store for South Bay residents and look forward to becoming a meaningful part of the dynamic South Bay community.”

Lazy Acres in Hermosa Beach will feature unique interactive elements including a live, working beehive; a fully-equipped, state-of-the-art demonstration and instruction kitchen which will host regular classes and special chef appearances; an expansive wellness section featuring the finest products in beauty, nutrition and much more; and, local merchandise from a well-known local retailers who share similar lifestyle philosophies, the press release said.

David Schaefer will be the Store Director – he's worked for Lazy Acres for more than six years and was most recently was the Store Director for Lazy Acres in Long Beach.
