Mira Costa Bands Perform in Festival Concert
Mira Costa High School music students treat friends and family to an evening of sound at the annual Festival Concert.
Students wove a musical tapestry at the Mira Costa High School auditorium Friday night. The Mira Costa concert band, jazz bands, symphonic band and wind ensemble provided a mix of soothing melodies and rousing numbers at the two-hour Festival Concert.
"Our goal was to entertain the audience and to capture their hearts," said music teacher and wind ensemble director Joel Carlson. "I think in many places we really did that effectively tonight."
The Mira Costa ensembles are sponsored by South Bay Brokers, Noguchi Orthodontic and other community donors.
