Costa Seniors Celebrate Graduation
The Mira Costa High School Class of 2011 walks the commencement stage to the cheers of friends and family Thursday.
Spirits were high as Mira Costa High School seniors completed their high school journey Thursday. After four years of instruction, life lessons and friendships, the Class of 2011 assembled on Waller Field to receive its diplomas.
"It's just completely surreal, going up to get your diploma, because you see everybody do it years before you and it's insane to have it finally be you," said Jessica Leatherman, a graduate.
A California Distinguished School, 90 percent of Mira Costa grads are college bound, said Principal Ben Dale. Check out Patch's graduation video with an accompanying montage of some of the school year's events.
