Poor Man's Whiskey Pours in to Saint Rocke

How’ve y’all been, ladies and gents? Are you ready for another epic blog about another epic band? Thought so. On Thursday, August 22nd Poor Man’s Whiskey will be making their way south to Saint Rocke. PMW is known worldwide for their high-energy live shows and unparalleled fusion of bluegrass/old time, southern rock, and old school jams. A band known for their high energy on stage is never, ever a bad thing. High energy on stage means high energy in the crowd, high energy in the crowd equals AWESOMESAUCE! On their site it says PMW “has evolved into a ragged, spontaneous BEAST pulling from equally deep wells of story-telling originals, expertly crafted covers and ZANY on-stage shenanigans.” You’re nuckin’ futs if that doesn’t sound like a goddamn good time.

Even though they’re from the bay area (GO DODGERS) Poor Man’s Whiskey can flat out play. With the combined talents of Josh Brough, Jason Beard, Aspen Stevenson, George Smeltz and Chris Haugen it seems as though there is no instrument unplayable in their very capable hands. To prove it, PMW has released six, count’em six, albums; the most recent being “Like a River” released in 2012.

So this is what you’re gonna do on Thursday, August 22nd, you're gonna come to Saint Rocke and help countdown the last days of summer with us. We’ll be sure to make it a good time with some good food, drinks, and dancing. Come over and be merry while listening to some amazing music performed live by the one and only, Poor Man’s Whiskey.
