Registration Kids Summer Spanish Enrichment Camps

Summer Passport Around the World en Cinco Dias! South Park HB

Camp Sessions: July 8 – July 12, 2013 9:00am – 1:00pm or
1:30pm – 4:30pm

August 5 – August 10, 2013 9:00am – 1:00pm or 1:30pm – 4:30pm

Conducted by
Mis Amigos Enrichment Programs and Señor Sánchez, HVS 3rd Grade Teacher,
"My Summer Passport” Spanish Enrichment Summer Camp for Kids will help
your child learn about the language, geography, culture, music, dance, and food
of several Spanish speaking countries while having a great and stimulating
summer camp experience. Campers will “travel around the world in five days” and
explore what people in various Spanish speaking countries eat, how they live,
play, go to school, and traditions they celebrate.

Activities are designed to
broaden your child’s understanding of how people in other parts of the world
live and identify similarities and differences to their own lives. Through “My
Summer Passport” Spanish Enrichment Camp, you will be planting the seeds that
will eventually help your child grow to succeed in the global arena by helping
to broaden your child’s understanding of world cultures - but you don't have to
tell your child that. All they need to know is that it’s an exciting, fun
summer camp with lots of cool activities!

Campers
will participate in the following:

*
Campers will create a "passport" and a journal to keep track of their
"travels". These items will be keepsakes to remind them of their
summer experience for years to come.

*
Through stimulating, hands-on and engaging activities, campers will learn
common phrases in Spanish as well as phrases that are specific to the day’s
focus country. Campers will create a list of words and phrases to take home for
future reference at the end of their travels.

*
Each day, campers will have the opportunity to taste one of the traditional
foods of the focus country, allowing them to broaden their culinary horizons.

*
The first four days will be devoted to country activities, and Friday will be a
wrap-up day that will allow campers to showcase what they have learned about
countries around the world.

This is an ideal opportunity to reinforce their
new-found knowledge.
