The Sierra Club presents the inveterate wilderness traveler
and photographer Rich Henke who will entertain us with a talk on the Channel
Islands. He'll tell of kayaking to Anacapa and Santa Cruz Islands
from the mainland, kayaking around Santa Rosa Island, and hiking trails of
Santa Barbara and San Miguel past nesting gulls, sea lions and elephant seals. Rich will include lots of “how to”
information for people who are interested in doing trips on their own. The
meeting will be at 7 PM, April 23, 2014 in the Community Room of the Palos
Verdes Library, 701 Silver Spur Road, Rolling Hills Estates (entrance also on
