Hermosa Beach Weekend Guide: South Bay By Jackie
The South Bay by Jackie Weekend Guide offers comprehensive coverage of the greater South Bay area.

What makes the South Bay such an exceptional place to live? Without a doubt, the casual beach lifestyle. Then there’s the effortless coastal access and all that entails. We have close-knit communities with oodles of small-town character; outstanding school districts; a delicious abundance of dining choices; innumerable entertainment options; and assorted cultural arts venues. One aspect that really puts the South Bay over the top with regard to quality of life are our local non-profit organizations. These groups, and the people who power them, bring so much to our community, and it’s vital that we support them. Can you imagine what a loss it would be for all of us if there were no SEA Lab, Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy, Western Museum of Flight, El Segundo Museum of Art or South Coast Botanic Garden? Fortunately, we don’t have to, and there are a several events this weekend that make it easy (and fun!) to support these particular organizations. (I know, I know, – there are dozens of other incredible local non-profits – I just mention these here because they’re hosting events over the next few days. There are several more listed in the Head’s Up section below!)
There are only a couple of days left to DineLa! Restaurants from El Segundo to Rancho Palos Verdes will be participating in this culinary event. Some of the restaurants will feature lunch, some will offer dinner and some will present both so be sure to check the website at http://discoverlosangeles.com/restaurantweekv2/.
