There have been soooo many exciting things happening around the South Bay recently. Did you read the article I posted late last week about what’s new and happening at the International Boardwalk in Redondo? If you missed it, you can read it here: http://www.southbaybyjackie.com/whats-new-international-boardwalk/. With all the new commerce going on down there, there was one new business that I missed and it’s really cool….it’s a Spy Shop! They’re selling everything from drones to hidden microphones and all sorts of other creepy/nifty spy craft items. Be sure to stop by the International Boardwalk on your next Strand cruise and let me know what you think!

Popular South Bay band, Feed The Kitty recently posted their short documentary, Feed The Kitty: The Movie to You Tube. The 20-minute movie was filmed in the South Bay and includes interviews with local residents as part of telling the busy working band’s story as they evolved into a popular South Bay cover/originals band. Genuine, relatable, and fun, “Feed The Kitty: The Movie” was directed by Kenny Stoff and filmed by some of the same professional camera crew behind the acclaimed documentaries, “Sound City” and “Sonic Highways”. A film crew followed the band for one week as they played nine gigs in six days fresh off their first ever European Tour. The film relays the love and gratitude that the band has for its South Bay fans and the community, which has embraced them like no other. “Feed The Kitty: The Movie” may be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwDBoriGwU4. The short film was originally shown at a public screening last year at HT Grill in Redondo Beach which was publicized locally, including a feature article in the Beach Reporter on both the band and the documentary. You can read the article here: http://tbrnews.com/lifestyle/kitty-tales-popular-south-bay-band-feed-the-kitty-tells/article_10c674dc-8e05-11e3-8371-001a4bcf887a.html.
