South Bay Women’s Conference Final Speaker Lineup Announced Limited Number of Tickets Still Available

Torrance, CA, Aoril 11, 2014/South Bay Women’s Conference: Women from the South Bay and beyond are invited to LIVE! LAUGH! LEARN! at the inau­gural South Bay Women’s Con­fer­ence on Fri­day, May 9, 2014. Orga­nized by the South Bay Busi­ness Women’s Asso­ci­a­tion (SBBWA), this full day event will wel­come purpose-driven and service-minded women into a moti­va­tional envi­ron­ment of empow­er­ment, respect, laugh­ter and learn­ing, while simul­ta­ne­ously pro­vid­ing col­lege schol­ar­ships to South Bay women in need.

Expe­ri­ence inspir­ing and edu­ca­tional keynote speak­ers, panelists and inter­ac­tive breakout pro­grams. Meet schol­ar­ship recip­i­ents, net­work dur­ing a three-course locally sourced lunch menu, and visit spe­cialty bou­tique ven­dors. The day opens with indie pop singer-songwriter Delfina, a Mira Costa alumna performing the National Anthem, and will include short intermissions where attendees may take a stretch break with Terranea Resort trainers, Debbie Delarosa, MA, BS and Angela Matthews. The day cul­mi­nates with a high energy net­work­ing recep­tion. The South Bay Women’s Conference will be held from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Tor­rance Mar­riott South Bay. KEYNOTE SPEAKERS: LIVE! with author, lecturer and thought leader, Marianne Williamson who began lecturing in Los Angeles in 1983, proving herself as a for­mi­da­ble activist for social jus­tice. In 1990, she founded Project Angel Food, a meals-on-wheels pro­gram serving home­bound peo­ple with AIDS in the Los Ange­les area. She co-founded The Peace Alliance, pro­mot­ing leg­is­la­tion to estab­lish a U.S. Depart­ment of Peace; and she serves on the Board of Direc­tors of the RESULTS orga­ni­za­tion, work­ing to end hunger and poverty through­out the world. Ms. Williamson has been a pop­u­lar television guest, appearing on Oprah, Larry King Live, Good Morn­ing Amer­ica, Char­lie Rose and Piers Mor­gan. Six of her ten pub­lished books have been New York Times Best Sell­ers, with four earning the #1 ranking.

PANEL DISCUSSION FEATURING: conference emcee Joy Chudacoff, as moderator.  Ms. Chudacoff is known as “The Coach for Women”, helping women discover and enact the Big Ideas for their personal and business life.
