South Bay Women’s Conference Final Speaker Lineup Announced Limited Number of Tickets Still Available
Torrance, CA, Aoril 11, 2014/South Bay Women’s Conference: Women from the South Bay and beyond are invited to LIVE! LAUGH! LEARN! at the inaugural South Bay Women’s Conference on Friday, May 9, 2014. Organized by the South Bay Business Women’s Association (SBBWA), this full day event will welcome purpose-driven and service-minded women into a motivational environment of empowerment, respect, laughter and learning, while simultaneously providing college scholarships to South Bay women in need.
Experience inspiring and educational keynote speakers, panelists and interactive breakout programs. Meet scholarship recipients, network during a three-course locally sourced lunch menu, and visit specialty boutique vendors. The day opens with indie pop singer-songwriter Delfina, a Mira Costa alumna performing the National Anthem, and will include short intermissions where attendees may take a stretch break with Terranea Resort trainers, Debbie Delarosa, MA, BS and Angela Matthews. The day culminates with a high energy networking reception. The South Bay Women’s Conference will be held from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Torrance Marriott South Bay. KEYNOTE SPEAKERS: LIVE! with author, lecturer and thought leader, Marianne Williamson who began lecturing in Los Angeles in 1983, proving herself as a formidable activist for social justice. In 1990, she founded Project Angel Food, a meals-on-wheels program serving homebound people with AIDS in the Los Angeles area. She co-founded The Peace Alliance, promoting legislation to establish a U.S. Department of Peace; and she serves on the Board of Directors of the RESULTS organization, working to end hunger and poverty throughout the world. Ms. Williamson has been a popular television guest, appearing on Oprah, Larry King Live, Good Morning America, Charlie Rose and Piers Morgan. Six of her ten published books have been New York Times Best Sellers, with four earning the #1 ranking.
