Unlocked Cars Are Inviting Thieves, Hermosa Beach PD Says; Lock Up

From the Hermosa Beach Police Department:

Hermosa Beach recently experienced an increase in the number of thefts of items out of unlocked vehicles.  Please do your part in helping us to reduce the number of opportunistic crimes by following these simple steps:

HIDE IT
If you must travel with valuables, such as iPads, laptops, GPS units, keep them out of plain sight.  Hide these items in the center console, glove box, or in the trunk.

LOCK IT
Remember to roll up your windows up all the way, and always lock your vehicle, even if you're only going to leave your vehicle for a minute.  Parking your car in your own driveway does not deter thieves.

Follow these simple to keep your valuables safe and reduce your chances of becoming a victim of crime.
