Time to Trade in the Toilet?
Participants in this program must register by Friday to pick up a free water-saving toilet valued at $130 on Saturday, and then turn in their old toilet.

Hermosa Beach residents with toilets more than 10 years old can receive a free low-flow toilet in exchange for the one they use now.
This deal is offered through a partnership of the West Basin Municipal Water District and Leadership Manhattan Beach. The economic and environmentally sound toilets are provided to help locals conserve water and lower their bills.
Those who'd like to take advantage of the toilet giveaway must register by Friday with Leadership Manhattan Beach by calling 866-861-0784.

The toilet giveaway will happen Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Manhattan Beach Middle School. Bring a current water bill and a photo ID.
Don't bring your old toilet to the giveaway—those will be collected at the school on April 23, the day after .

Kim Salzer, marketing director for Leadership Manhattan Beach, sees the toilet giveaway as “a win-win initiative” because low-flow toilets guarantee much-needed conservation and promote a local environmental image.
“It fits within the green initiatives that are so important to our community right now,” she said.
