3 Injured in Highland Park Stolen Car Crash; Suspect at Large

Police are searching for a man who led them on a chase through Highland Park before crashing into two cars and critically injuring 3 people.

HIGHLAND PARK, CA - A possibly stolen vehicle was involved in a collision with two cars that critically injured three victims in Highland Park tonight and the male driver fled the scene, prompting a search, authorities said.

Officers were following the vehicle about 7:20 p.m. when the collision occurred in the 500 block of North Avenue 64, according to police and fire officials.

Rescue ambulances were summoned for the injured and a perimeter search involving a K9 unit was launched, said Officer Aareon Jefferson of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department said three victims of the three-vehicle crash were critically injured.
