The community is invited to Aldama's Used Book & Yard Sale on May 18th from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm. The Aldama Elementary Parent Teacher Association (PTA) hopes to raise funds to support their Playworks Program.
The Aldama PTA aims to raise funds by selling books, cloth, furniture and other items that have been donated by members of the community for their Playworks Program.
The Aldama PTA also hopes to promote a love of reading and learning by providing affordable books to those who need them most. They are hoping to provide items that people can really use and need.
The sale will feature a large selection of books. Pre-owned & Pre-loved books, Children & Adult Titles, Fiction & Non-Fiction and Paperback & Hardcover books. Most books will sell any were from 50 cents to $2.
Playworks is important to Aldama because it teaches leadership skills, lessens conflict among students, and helps to prevent bullying.
