at deb3321 NICK BROWN STUDIO

deb3321 is pleased to have artist Nick Brown teach Wednesday evenings from 7-10pm beginning March 5 for a six-week session.

This is an open studio class where you work on your work.  Classes present one on one critiques, discussions focusing on intention, subject matter and context.  Instruction may include lectures on contemporary painting and conceptual strategies and studio practices.  You will be encouraged to investigate new ways of thinking, broaden your range of materials and techniques and create work that is self-reflective and ambitious in scope.

Nick received his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and has taught Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and currently teaches in the Department of the Arts at the UCLA Extension program in Los Angeles.  Brown's work has been shown at the Drawing Center, NY, NY; P.S. 122, NY; The Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, IL: The Chicago Cultural Center, Chicago, IL; as well as at galleries both nationally and internationally.
