MOUNT WASHINGTON, CA -- A 74-year-old woman suffered smoke inhalation in a fire that tore through a multi-floor, hillside home in Mount Washington Thursday.

Of the 12 known residents, only an 84-year-old man was unaccounted for as firefighters battled the stubborn blaze, which was reported about 8:35 p.m. in the 4000 block of Sea View Avenue and continued to burn nearly three hours later, Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
