Tonight was a win for bicyclist and motorists. The Greater Cypress Park neighborhood council voted for bike lanes but no removal of car lanes. Traffic is a nightmare backing up from Avenue 22 to Avenue 43 in the morning.
The meeting was heated but still pretty civil. The board did a great job at timing comments that kept the meeting moving. At the end of comments a five minute vote went 4-2 in favor of adding bike lanes but no removal of car lanes!!
