HIGHLAND PARK INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL SERIES PRESENTS: “A PICTURE OF THE THREE OF US” and a live performance by singer Jesse Elliot of “These United States”

!  “A Picture of the Three of Us” is
a feature documentary chronicling rock & roll band These United States’ collaborative experiment playing 33 shows in
33 cities as 33 different line ups.  Filmmaker Jared Varava takes you along for the ride; Varava will be in attendance and will answer
questions after the screening.  A live
performance by singer songwriter Jesse Elliot will follow. From 2007 to 2012,
Elliot led the band through five studio albums and nearly 1,000 live
performances in the US, Canada and Europe. 
They appeared everywhere from Glastonbury to SXSW, Daytrotter to
Lollapalooza garnering praise from NPR, The New York Times, SPIN, KEXP and
others.  Now based in New York, the band
originated in Washington D.C. Varava
followed the band, then just a trio, on their first-ever US tour, documenting
their epic 33/33/33 concept. The screening will be at 8 p.m. Doors will
open at 7. The Highland Park Theater is located at 5604 N. Figueroa, Los Angeles,

A celebration will follow
the screening across the street at the Greyhound Bar & Grill.  Join the producers of the Highland Park
Independent Film Festival as well as Filmmaker Jared Varava and Musician Jesse
Elliot for a special happy hour at the Greyhound Bar & Grill.  The party will include special appetizers and
drinks exclusively for ticket holders of the Highland Park Independent Film

All proceeds from the event will go towards the Park Independent Film
Festival’s film mentoring program at Franklin High School as well as community
film screenings in Highland Park.
