Prestigious museums and cultural
organizations from around Los Angeles will unite at Arroyo Seco Museum
Science Magnet School
for its 9th annual Museum Day: Creating CORE
Greatness.  
On Saturday, May 31st, from 10 AM
till 12:30 PM, the entire campus will be transformed into mini-museums as over
twenty classrooms and more than a dozen organizations from around the city will
offer individual displays, exhibits and hands-on activities for visitors to
enjoy.  The Autry National Center, Audubon/Debs Park, The African
American Museum, The Japanese American National Museum, The Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens,
Natural History Museum, Zimmer Museum and The Reptile Family
to
name a few, will be on hand so visitors can experience some of the varied
museums and cultural organizations that abound in Los Angeles. 



Designed to showcase the student
work of this unique Museum Science magnet school as well as its ongoing
partnerships with museums around the city, admission to the event is FREE
Visitors will be able to stroll the tree-lined campus taking, exploring the
student-designed hands-on activities and learning what makes this one-of-a-kind
magnet school so special.  Food court will be present.



Arroyo Seco has been honored for the
second time the title of California Distinguished School for its unique
instructional practices and academic achievements.  Come by and visit our
unique campus.  Arroyo Seco is one of the few schools that offer
Kindergarten through 8th grade. Our API score is 889 and we are climbing! 
Arroyo Seco is a highly sought out full magnet school.  We are one of the GEMS
of LAUSD. Come by and see what the buzz is all about!  Arroyo Seco is
located at 4805 Sycamore Terrace in Highland Park at the intersection of
Sycamore Terrace and Figueroa St, in front of Sycamore Terrace Park.  For
