Police Seek Help Finding Missing Mount Washington Man

A 91-year-old Mount Washington man has been missing since Wednesday.

Authorities asked for public help today to find a 91- year-old man suffering from Alzheimer’s who went missing while driving in the Mount Washington area.

Apolonio Gomez was last seen on Wednesday in the 5500 block of Marmion Way, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

A Silver Alert was issued for help in finding Gomez, who was driving a 2013 Honda Accord, silver in color, with California license number 6YGH760. There is a sticker on the rear window with the words “Ramona Convent Tigers.”

Gomez is Hispanic, 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs about 135 pounds, and has gray hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a blue polo shirt, gray jeans, gray and black tennis shoes, and a black jacket. He wears prescription eyeglasses.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts was urged to call the LAPD Missing Persons Unit at (213) 996-1800, (877) LAPD-24-7, or 911.
