2 Trapped In Downtown Pileup; Busy Los Angeles Intersection Closes

LOS ANGELES, CA — Two people were hospitalized after being trapped in the wreckage of a downtown pileup.

The crash happened shortly before 3 p.m. and involved at least three vehicles at the intersection of Broadway and Fourth Street. One car overturned, but luckily, no one suffered life-threatening injuries according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

In addition to the two people hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, five others were examined and treated at the scene, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
