The 2023 San Diego International Kid’s Film Festival is now accepting

SDIKFF focuses on entertaining and educational filmmaking the whole family can watch together. Each year, we screen projects made across the globe. Accepted submissions are judged by a jury of industry professionals.

This year, we are accepting projects in many categories. These include short films, features, animation, and documentary. Filmmakers of all ages and cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Screenplays are also accepted and will be performed by real actors at our screenplay showcase.

We are also holding a songwriting competition. Finalists may get the chance to perform at the festival.

Festival activities include panels run by experts in the industry, filmmaker Q&A’s, and the opportunity to walk the red carpet. Participants get to promote their talent to industry personnel at the film market, network with other filmmakers at the gala, as well as take part in a documentary film made about the festival.
