$50K Reward Offered For Info About Botched Robbery In Hollywood

The LAPD says a man was shot during an attempted robbery in Hollywood last year.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Authorities are offering a $50,000 reward for information surrounding the attempted murder of a man during a botched robbery at a Hollywood restaurant last year.

The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on April 16, 2022, when two suspects followed a man as he was leaving Hyde Sunset Kitchen + Cocktails near Sunset and Crescent Heights boulevards and walked to his car at a nearby parking lot. The two armed men attempted to rob the victim when he reached his vehicle. They ended up shooting him before they got into a car and fled without taking anything from the victim, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The car the suspects' used to flee the scene was a dark-colored 2004-12 BMW 3-Series with no front license plate, five-spoke wheels and a damaged passenger-side tail light.

The LAPD is offering a $50,000 reward leading to the perpetrators' identity, arrest, and conviction.
