Actor Milo Ventimiglia Gets Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

"This Is Us" and "Gilmore Girls" star Milo Ventimiglia on Monday received the Walk's 2,710th star.

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Emmy-nominated actor Milo Ventimiglia, who starred in “This Is Us” and “Gilmore Girls,” received a star Monday morning on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Ventimiglia, 44, was joined by “Gilmore Girls” creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and fellow “This Is Us” cast member Jon Huertas to receive his star at 6562 Hollywood Blvd., located between Whitley Avenue and Schrader Boulevard. His star – the 2,710th star on the walk – is located next to that of Mandy Moore, who plays his wife on “This Is Us.”

Ventimiglia said his star honors “anyone and everyone I've ever worked with in front of and behind the camera for 26 years, from set work to office work to business and even the audiences."

Ventimiglia grew up in Orange, and first starred on TV in 1995 at age 18 as a party guest on an episode of “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” His breakthrough role came in 2001 when he joined the cast of “Gilmore Girls” as troubled teen heartthrob Jess Mariano, and continued to star on the show until its sixth season.

He has also starred in NBC’s “Heroes”, “American Dreams,” ABC’s “Boston Public,” and Fox’s “Gotham.”

Ventimiglia's movie credits including starring in the 2019 comedy- drama "The Art of Racing in the Rain"; portraying the son of Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) in "Rocky Balboa" and "Creed II"; starring alongside Jennifer Lopez in the romantic comedy "Second Act"; "That's My Boy," and "Grown Ups 2."

In 2016, Ventimiglia auditioned to portray family patriarch Jack Pearson on NBC's critically acclaimed family drama "This Is Us."

"Unlike a lot of actors in Milo's position or with his name recognition, Milo was willing to come in and read for the part," creator and executive producer Dan Fogelman told City News Service. "He was the first piece of the cast that locked in for me, that very day he read for me I knew he was gonna be the guy and the cast built out around him."
