HOLLYWOOD, CA – It's been a busy week around the greater Los Angeles area. However, some good news – Angelenos may get relief from those darn street sweeping tickets. In an effort to help parents from getting parking tickets while dropping their children off at school, a Los Angeles City Council committee forwarded a proposal Wednesday to push back the times of street sweeping near elementary schools.

This week throughout LA, families and immigrant rights organizations protested the President Trump's policy of taking immigrant children from their parents.

A killer admitted to shooting someone for being "a different color." A Latino Highland Park Gang member could face 20 years to life in prison for shooting a man for being black in the wrong neighborhood.

In other news, Uber & a driver were sued for an alleged rape at a North Hollywood motel. Jane Doe realized she was "sexually assaulted when she found two used condoms in the motel room," the lawsuit contends.

Actor Alan O'Neill was found dead in his LA Home. The actor, who was best known for his role on the hit FX show "Sons of Anarchy," was 47.

If you've ever felt that the drive home after a long, hard day seems to take a lot longer than your morning commute, you're not crazy. A study released by USC reveals that the evening slog takes a lot longer in Los Angeles – typically 14 percent slower than than the morning commute.

On the same front, Angelenos won't be bothered by loud tourbuses anymore. The Los Angeles City Council voted to make tour buses forego loudspeakers for earphones amid community noise complaints.

The family of Jerry Maren, the last surviving "Wizard of Oz" munchkin, announced his death this week. He was 98.
