WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA — A man was shot Tuesday afternoon while walking with his family in West Hollywood in what deputies described as a random attack, according to a report.
The shooting occurred just after noon on Norton Avenue, just north of the intersection of Fairfax Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
The victim was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, although his vital signs were stable, authorities said.
WEHOonline reported that deputies said the attack was unprovoked and random. The suspect approached the man, fired a shot and fled in a white Nissan Altima.
According to various reports from the scene, the man was walking with his family when he was shot.
