LOS ANGELES, CA — Police are asking for the public's help finding a 76-year-old man with dementia who was last seen early Wednesday in Los Angeles.
Wilbert Swaringer was last seen around 12:12 a.m. Wednesday in the area of Vermont Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard in East Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Swaringer is described as a Black man with black hair and brown eyes. He is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 175 pounds, police said.
He was last seen wearing glasses, a gray sweater, gray pants and brown shoes.
Swaringer's family, friends and police are seeking the public's help locating him.
Anyone who has seen Swaringer or has information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the LAPD Missing Persons Unit at 213-996-1800 or call 911. During non-business hours or on weekends, calls can be made to 877-527-3247. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers online or at 800-222-8477.
