HOLLYWOOD, CA — Police are asking for the public's help finding a missing 77-year-old man who needs medication.
John Anderson was last seen around 10 a.m. Friday near the 1300 block of North Vermont Avenue in East Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Anderson has a medical condition and needs his medication, police said. A Silver Alert has been issued as authorities and Anderson's family and friends search for him.
Anderson is described as a Hispanic man with gray hair and hazel eyes. He is about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds.
He was last seen wearing brown pants and black shoes. Police said his destination is unknown.
Anyone who has seen Anderson or has information about his whereabouts was asked to contact LAPD Olympic Area detectives at 213-385-9102 or call 911. During non-business hours or on weekends, callers can contact 877-527-3247.
