Armed Robbers Attack Man In Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD, CA — Two men were attacked early Thursday in a violent armed robbery in Hollywood, and the suspects remain at large.

The attack occurred at about 6:15 a.m. in the 1800 block of Whitley Avenue, said Officer Lizeth Lomeli, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson. Two men were sitting in a vehicle when the robbers, armed with a gun, approached them.

"A suspect approached the vehicle, and robbed the driver," Lomeli said.

One of the robbers assaulted the driver, who transported himself to a local hospital, Lomeli added. He was treated at a hospital for an unspecified injury.

Police are looking for two suspects wanted for robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
